In mijn ogen zijn wij als mensen elkaar veel te veel aan het beoordelen op uiterlijk en andere factoren die niets te maken hebben met waar we eigenlijk naar zouden moeten kijken. Vandaar de volgende tekst.
Some Body
The past has proven to us that we like to think we know,
Everything of anyone, and that we want to show,
We’re superior over everyone who might just be around,
And so we can do to them whatever we may want…
It took me some time before I realized,
You can’t judge a girl by the color of her eyes.
The color of her hair, or the color of her skin,
You can’t judge someone by the body they live in.
Religion is a danger, or so say the atheists,
Christians accuse muslims, with an angry shaken fist,
The straight accuse the gay of simply being wrong,
A girl becomes a slut if she likes to wear a thong.
It took me some time before I realized,
You can’t judge a girl by the color of her eyes.
The color of her hair, or the color of her skin,
You can’t judge someone by the body they live in.
Why do people find it hard to accept a difference?
Try to live with anyone, and give the new a chance!
We all got the same world out of our parents’ hands,
To pass on to our children, not for an offence!
